Augusta Campus Volunteering
Our Augusta Campus features two volunteer centers: The Sue W. Harrison Volunteer Center in the Main Building (Headquaters) and The Food Lion Feeds Produce Rescue Center. As we launch our new volunteer opportunity at the Produce Rescue Center, all volunteers will currently check in at our Main Building: 3310 Commerce Dr. Augusta, GA 30909
During your shift, you may be packing Backpack Meals for students, assembling Senior Boxes, packing Meals for Families, sorting and packing canned goods, or sorting fresh produce.
Volunteers ages 8 and up. Anyone under 18 must be signed up by a guardian.

Volunteer Requirements & Policies:
- Checking In
- All Volunteers should ensure that they are signed up properly for each shift before the shift start time.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the shift start for a brief orientation.
- All volunteers should check in at the kiosk in each location on the tablets provided.
- Dress Code
- Please dress in comfortable, casual clothes that can get dirty/sweaty
- Golden Harvest requires Volunteers to adhere to the following dress code:
- closed toe shoes only (no sandals)
- no gym wear or leggings
- no sleeveless or cropped tops
Volunteers who come inappropriately dressed will be asked to change before their shift
- Volunteers should be comfortable standing for 2-3 hours in an assembly line and lifting 5-10 pounds repeatedly
- The use of cell phones, headphones, and earbuds is discouraged during volunteer activities
- Please reschedule if you feel sick or unwell
- Golden Harvest is smoke free and drug free environment
- Theft, harassment, or abuse will not be tolerated.
- Groups
- If you have a group larger than 5, please sign up under a "team" or email volunteers@goldenharvest.org.
- Group leaders should confirm that all members of their team are all signed up under the team name or have each signed a waiver and are aware of the dress code. *Volunteers under age 18 need to have parent/guardian sign the waiver.
