Volunteer: Augusta Campus Volunteering (Afternoon Shift)


Volunteers at the Augusta Campus help support multiple programs: Backpack food bags for students, Senior Food Boxes, packing meals for families during Summer Harvest, or sorting canned goods and fresh produce.

Our Augusta Campus features two volunteer centers: The Sue W. Harrison Volunteer Center and the Food Lion Feeds Volunteer Center inside of the Produce Rescue Center.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Volunteer Requirements:

Volunteers should be at least 8 years old. Anyone under 18 needs to be signed up by a guardian. 

Volunteers should be comfortable standing for 2-3 hours in an assembly line and lifting 5-10 pounds repeatedly.

To protect the safety of our volunteers and provide a positive environment, Golden Harvest requires the following dress code for volunteers: closed toed shoes, full length pants or skirts, and shirts with sleeves (short or long).

The use of cell phones, headphones, and earbuds is discouraged during volunteer activities. 

Theft, harassment, or abuse will not be tolerated.

Golden Harvest is a smoke and drug-free environment.
