Annual "It's Spooky To Be Hungry" Food and Funds Drive for Neighborhoods
50-75 Volunteers needed on Saturday, October 1st between 9:00am-1:00pm
This is "door hanger distribution day" for all participating neighborhoods, in all counties (Aiken, Columbia & Richmond).
Volunteers will walk door-to-door and distribute "It's Spooky To Be Hungry" door hangers.
The door hanger will have detailed instructions for residents to:
1) make an online donation
2) drop off non-perishable food donations at a specific location on October 22nd.
Some participating neighborhoods will not know their specific volunteer need until the last minute. After we assess the volunteer need for each neighborhood, volunteers will receive their neighborhood assignment a FEW DAYS prior to Saturday, October 1st. Each neighborhood will have a designated captain/ coordinator, who will be on-site to greet volunteers and give detailed instructions and/ or a map of the neighborhood streets. We appreciate volunteers being flexible with their neighborhood assignments. Neighborhood size will also vary. Some neighborhoods might have 100 houses while others have 1,200.
